Another bike featured in American Iron Magazine issue #357 is Oliver's FLHX. The interesting thing about this build was the previous owner had Burnout Alley do a custom paint job done on the bike in jet gloss black with silver ghost flames. When Oliver bought the bike he wanted to make it his own.
He was able to sell the custom tin set for good money which helped pay for the new parts he wanted. The rest was all done in house like the custom made crash bar and paint. Every black part that is on this bike is Harley Wrinkle Black. All in all there were nearly 140 parts painted on this bike. the super clean pinstriping was laid on by none other than East Coast Artie.
Where did the "My Cousin Vinny" come from? Well, the mint metallic green paint of course. Although it has a denim clear coat the metallic in the paint gives the bike such a unique shimmer that when shots of this bike were taken in the studio. it actually looked silver.
More details to come in the future.
